Rust on a trailer hitch is one of the best examples of rusting problems. Rust gets in-between the hitch and the receiver and the two can almost weld together, making them almost impossible to remove. This and the fact that the the rust looks terrible on the back of your car, makes it perfect for Enviro-Safe.
This part was immersed into Enviro-Safe Industrial Concentrate for about an hour. The trailer hitch came out and was rinsed with a dilute solution of water and Metal Kleener 0001. We also sprayed them with Metal Shield 2009 Rust Inhibitor to protect the hitch from flash rusting..
